I think you all know what photography is but did you ever thought about the etymology of this word. I found this cool discription on Wikipedia: "The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing",together meaning "drawing with light"£"
When it come to what photography is, Wikipedia says that: "Photography is the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film"

Hello, I think I wrote about photo editing programs in the past but they just got back to me because sometimes the weather isn't that good and the pictures are also not that awesome like they could be so for this reason I think that photo programs are the perfect solution. It is so cool. You just upload the photo and than you can play around with it like change the background or whatever you wanna do.

I don't know who of you takes pictures to pay its bills and who just do it for fun(like me). Well, even if I am a fan of landscapes and nature I would love to spot a celebrity some where in London. It wouldn't matter to me if it is a politician or a singer or a supermodel. Even if I would prefer the last one the most but celebrity is celebrity. Did anyone of you ever asked itself what the word "Paparazzi"means or where it comes from? Well, I did some research just because I was curious and I found out that the word is Italian and describes a photojournalist who is specialized in candid photography of celebrities, politician and other prominent people. All right, that was just a very quick andf brief overview but enough for right now.

Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a good party or a chilled out evening...with a lot of nice and interesting pictures. One of my friends gave me a new digital camera as a present and as I had a look at it I was so fascinated. After playing a little around with it I was curious what the digital camera market has to offer. I browsed through the internet and I found so many cool cameras that I would like to use. At least to give them all a shot. You should really check out the different cameras 'coz it depends for what you need the camera. If it one of your working tools I think it's also worth to "invest" a little more money in a camera than just a "hobby camera". Well, I just got a new one but, even if I am just a hobby photographer, I like good quality in a camera so for me it was also interesting to see how many different cameras and equipment is on the market

Who of you ever thought about taking a course in photography?
I did when I was a little bit younger. Not because I doubt my skills. Just because I wanted to learn and improve my skills. I think it's pretty benefiting when you see how other people work with there cameras and stuff. I learned a lot from more experienced photographers than I learned from books and this is actually, why I also think that it's not a shame to ake classes in photography. Even if you are already good, you should give it a try.

It's almost Christmas and I invited all my friends to my place. We will sit in front of the fire place, have a chat, a drink and just enjoy our time together. Of course, there will also be some pictures me or my friends will take. i love taking pictures of my loved ones 'coz it is like catching the moment and keep it forever.

When i have a look outside my window I see my garden covered in snow which looks very beautiful. White and so peaceful. I really think that this is one of the best view I ever had and because i8 like this kind of natural looking stuff I think it needs to be photographed. I'm so glad that I am able to catch this moment with my camera and so remember it forever.
